Hi everyone! There are many pieces of art
that I like a lot, so I couldn’t pick just one as my favorite, but I’ll talk
about something that I really like.
There’s a song by “A Perfect Circle” that I’ll
never be tired of listening to. The song is called “Weak and Powerless”; it was
recorded and released in 2003 in North Hollywood, California. It is the first single
from their second album “Thirteen Step”. Also, this song was part of the
soundtrack of the movie “Underworld”.
The meaning that I see in this song is how
people can feel sometimes so desperate and lonely, that they just don’t know
what to do to stop feeling that way, and they try so hard to fill the hole that
is inside them with everything that they found, but they efforts are useless,
because they can’t find the right answer of what they need.
In the video you can see a nude woman with
a long white hair, and she is grabbing a lot of reptiles and throwing them into
a dark hole. For me it’s like a metaphor of how she is trying to fill the hole
in she, but in the end, she still have it.
This
song is so depressing, that strangely, it helps me when I’m sad, because I feel
that I can vent a lot of anger and pressure, and then I feel more relieved.
Here is the video if you want to see it! (:
I don't know the song but I watch the movie and I love it <3
